(May 28, 2010 – Phoenix, AZ)  Better Business Bureau of Central, Northern and Western Arizona (BBB), a non-profit leader in advancing marketplace trust, has announced the appointment of Koriann M. Morales as Vice President of BBB Services and Felicia N. Thompson as its Vice President of Communications.

“Despite the economic ‘recalibration’ over the past couple of years, or perhaps because of it, the BBB has seen a tremendous increase in demand for services from both businesses and consumers.  Establishing these key positions within the organization was vital in order to continue delivering trust to the marketplace,” BBB President/CEO Matthew Fehling said.

Morales, who most recently served as director of BBB accreditation, leads the department dedicated to research, analysis and general services for BBB Accredited Businesses. During her time as director, Morales embraced technology to enhance internal financial procedures as well as introduced tangible benefits and discount programs, which improved the organization’s bottom line.  In her new role, Morales is responsible for all internal BBB operations. Prior to returning to the organization in 2006, she previously served as BBB’s Office Administrator for four years. Morales earned a degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.

As the former director of marketing and communications for the BBB, Thompson steps into her new position responsible for overall external communications. Since joining the BBB in 2004, Thompson has led marketing, communication and branding efforts to internal and external publics in Arizona. She leads a team, which has received national BBB recognition for communications and outreach and also serves as BBB’s de facto spokesperson to local and national media. Thompson has a journalism degree from the University of Arizona and MBA from University of Phoenix

“Koriann and Felicia are both highly capable and proven leaders within the BBB organization.  I am confident that both will be instrumental in advancing the BBB’s mission of advancing marketplace trust,” Fehling said.
