“Turn Up and Shine” on Saturday, May 7, from 11 am -4 pm, at the Scottsdale Public Civic

Center Library in Scottsdale. The Phenomenal Women Empowerment Network (PWEN), a

Phoenix nonprofit, will be hosting their 5th Annual conference featuring inspirational speakers, live entertainment, a special Red Carpet experience and a men’s panel discussing the “Male Perspective” as it relates to women. Free tickets for the Mother’s Day weekend event will be available for teen daughters of attendees on a limited basis.

The theme of the 2016 conference is “DIME Speak: Dynamic, Intelligent, Multi-Talented, Exquisite Women of Value Transforming the Atmosphere.” Speakers include Southern California Talk Show host, Dr. Letitia J. Wright, and Pastor Debra Garrett of Phoenix.

According to PWEN founder and licensed minister Sharise L. Erby, “Women are achieving so much but they also spend considerable energy working against each other. As a result, many women ‘dim their shine’ to fit in and not stand out.

This event was created to motivate women and girls to find their authentic voice, turn off their inner critic and turn up their lives.”

Registration is $75 before April 10th and includes conference materials, gift bags valued at $50, breakfast snacks, prize drawings, vendors, entertainment by saxophonist Ashton Charles and a networking reception with hors d’oeuvres and desserts. A special red carpet experience will also be available to attendees with free photos by a professional photographer.

Erby is offering a limited number of free seats to daughters of attendees (ages 13-17) on a first come - first served basis to help provide a positive experience to young women. To PWEN Founder, Sharise L. Erby, MA obtain the free ticket, mothers can note their daughters name in the comment field when registering online.

A portion of conference proceeds will benefit the Carrie J. Gray Scholarship program that gives monetary awards to women who have overcome obstacles in the lives. The 2016 recipient will be announced during the event.

Presenter Dr. Leticia S. Wright, D.C., is an international speaker, talk show host, author, director and movie producer. As the host of the Wright Place TV Show, now in its 14th season on the Dish in Demand network, she broadcasts to over 6.5 million homes each week in Southern California.

Pastor Debra Garrett has written multiple faith-based confessions and is the author of "Biblical ABC" a parent's guide to raising Godly children. She has published a DVD, "Take 5-10," a spiritual and physical workout designed for busy ladies to keep spiritually challenged as well as physically fit.

A special all-male panel is part of the agenda for attendees to learn about men’s perspective of women as it relates to confidence and “going for what they want.”
